Raats Eden Chenin Blanc 2018
Polkadraai Hills, Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, South AfricaFrom Stellenbosch's Polkadraai Hills, these younger Montpellier clone chenin vines are rooted in decomposed granite / dolomite, and planted high density, at 8000 vines / ha, individually staked. This is the first high density planting release in Africa, and named Eden after the name of Brewer Raats' farm. After a whole bunch press, this was native fermented in tight grained 300L French barrels, where it remained on lees for 11 months. Unfortunately my bottle was corked; looking forward to tasting again in the future.Tasted: 03 June 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:ON | $80.00 | 750ml | consignment |
