Leaning Post Wines Senchuk Vineyard Chardonnay 2018
Lincoln Lakeshore, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaFrom their Lincoln Lakeshore Senchuk Vineyard, this blends clones 548 and 96, harvested in the warm 2018 vintage. After whole cluster pressing, these settled overnight in chilled tanks and was then racked into puncheons and barriques, with each clone separated. They underwent native ferment and MLF in barrel, where the wine remained, sans bâtonnage, for 16 months. Full and ripe and round, with perfumed blossoms, ripe pear, baked yellow apples, custard, and fine spice on a creamy palate, seasoned with wood spice.
