Hester Creek Sémillon 2020

Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSémillon, sauvignon blanc, grüner veltliner, riesling are regal wines of BC, and one can only hope they continue to build an audience. These sémillon vines were planted in 1997/1998 on Hester Creek's home Golden Mile Bench estate. It's whole berry pressed, and fermented in stainless steel with a small amount in French oak before ageing four short months in the same gear. I am partial to young sémillon, and this is a winner. Lemon, apples, and lime pith all come together in a bright, juicy white with a streak of orange. This is the perfect freshly shucked oyster wine.Tasted: 26 June 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
