Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Foxly gris comes from two vineyards in Summerland split 90/10 between Thurn Vineyard and Savard Vineyard. Almost all free-run juice is fermented separately and aged in stainless steel before being blended after four months. Look for an open, yellow fruit nose with hints of citrus and honeysuckle. Lime rind and melon dominate a lean white wine with a touch of spice and a fresh demeanour on the palate. Reminiscent of the northern Italian style. Ready to drink. The winery suggests you serve it with smoked salmon pasta with a light cream sauce.Tasted: 16 April 2021Tasted by: Prices:
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFoxly is the 2nd label of Foxtrot Vineyard, released in the spring of 2020 and meant to be a more approachable, drink-now style. From two Summerland vineyards, this was fermented and aged in stainless for a quick 4 months. Tight and cool with crunchy pear, green apple, green melon, and grapefruit rind on a compact, grigio-esque palate. Drinking best now, while young and bright.Tasted: 06 June 2021Tasted by: Prices:
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is quite a perfumed, estery pinot gris from two vineyards in Summerland, led by soft pear, stone fruits, and honeysuckle. It's made in a crisp, refreshing style, buoyed by a light effervescence, with four months in stainless steel before bottling. Fairly restrained, with some creaminess to the midpalate, enjoy this summer with light appetizers.Tasted: 02 May 2021Tasted by: Prices:
