Domaine Serene Pinot Noir Evenstad Reserve 2017

Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesEvenstad Reserve is Domaine Serene's flagship pinot noir, named for founders Ken and Grace Evenstad. From vineyards in the Dundee Hills, Eola-Amity, and Yamhill Carlton AVAs, up to 300m, this was cold soaked and macerated over one week before heading to French barrel for 16 months' aging, followed by one year in bottle. Soft and plump, with black raspberry, cherry compote, damp forest, cola, and baking spices seasoning the sultry palate, framed with plush tannins, and finishing with gentle cedar and smoked nutmeg spicing, and ample salinity. Now is the time to drink this, ideally with duck or grilled mushrooms.Tasted: 09 June 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
