Culmina Family Estate Wild Ferment Rosé No. 014 2020
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNo. 14 in the Wild Ferment Series is a pale, orange-pink rosé from the Arise Bench on the Golden Mile Bench sub-GI. The mix is 60/25/15 cabernet franc, malbec, and syrah, aged two months in a 70/30 ratio of stainless steel and neutral French oak. The palate is overrun in sweet ripe strawberries and a creamy smooth mouthfeel flecked with white pepper before a sweet pink grapefruit finish. This vintage blends cabernet franc, malbec, and syrah, native fermented and aged in a mix of 70% stainless and 30% neutral French oak, where it remained for 2 months prior to bottling. Wild strawberries and cream, ripe red apple flood a full, glycerol slicked palate, dusted with spice and twisted with pink grapefruit on the finish.
