Boedecker Cellars Stewart Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2015

Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesFrom Cherry Grove vineyard in Willamette, and Shea and Hirschy Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton, this pinot was native fermented, 30% whole cluster, with 10 months' rest in French barrels (25% new) on lees, followed by an additional 9 months in entirely neutral barrels, off lees, prior to bottling. This 2015 was aged a few years in bottle prior to release (current vintage). This has a balsamic twinge that opens, before downy raspberry, strawberry, and an herbal branchy note take over. Tannins are a bit grippy / gritty through a cola note on the finish. Showing its age, this is best consumed now.Tasted: 24 June 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
