Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2020 Rosé is a single vineyard offering that comes off a new supply of fruit from a 2-acre site owned by the Drachenberg family in Summerland. The plan is to buy the fruit long-term to support this label. It is a 68/28/4 mix of merlot, cabernet franc, and syrah. The palate is a mix of candied ripe raspberries and freshly picked strawberries, sitting on a silky slippery finish. At 7 g/L residual sugar, it's just off-dry, which plays well with the fresh citrus rind notes. Chill and serve on the patio.Tasted: 01 May 2021Tasted by: Prices:
Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis year's rosé blends 68% merlot, 28% cabernet franc, and 4% syrah from Summerland's Drachenberg family vineyard. It was destemmed and foot trodden for three hours, with the merlot and cab franc co-fermented, before 5 months on lees in stainless. Silky smooth, with candied raspberries, ripe strawberries gliding along a streamlined palate, aided by a 7 g/L RS slick. That said, the tangerine pith/peel acidity meets well the sugar, making this a very friendly, seamless, polished choice for cracking this summer.Tasted: 05 May 2021Tasted by: Prices:
