Château Gaillot Fournier Bordeaux 2015
Bordeaux, FranceThe family owned Château Gaillot Fournier is nested in Entre deux Mers, between the Garonne and the Dordogne rivers, in the village of Tizac de Curton. This blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet sauvignon, 5% Malbec is from vines averaging 30 years, and clay limestone soils. After a stainless ferment, this rested in a mix of stainless and wood. Classic claret on the nose, with dusty gravels mixed with cherry, raspberry, dried tobacco, and leafy herbaceousness. Tannins are still grippy, but absorbed into the fruit now with bottle age.
