Bairrada, Northern Portugal, PortugalCasca Wines is a project of winemakers who came together to create a high quality Portuguese wine brand, across the country's grapes and regions. This blend of organic 80 year old vine aragonez (tempranillo), and rufete comes from Piuhel, in the Beiras Interior's hart continental climate, at 700m altitude. This rested for 6 months in aged French barrels prior to release. Soft and dark fruited, with perfumed violets, plump plum, boysenberry, milk chocolate, and fragrant spices on a plush, medium+ palate.
