Bees Knees Chenin Blanc Viognier 2019
Western Cape, South AfricaFrom a single vineyard in Mount Rozier, in the Western Cape, this blend of 80% chenin / 20% viognier was fermented and aged on lees for 4 months in stainless. Waxy and fragrant with ripe pear, melon, white peach, honeysuckle on a lees-plumped, medium-bodied palate, sprinkled with light spices. I'd love to see this chenin without the addition of viognier, but it makes for a friendly, fragrant, drink-now white.
