Anthony Buchanan Amphora Muscat 2020

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis hazy, glowing orange orange of muscat comes from Oliver's Malhi Farm and 15 year old vines on pebbly, sandy soils. This was whole berry, native fermented in amphora, with 2.5 weeks skin contact and 4 months on lees before it was bottled in February 2021 unfined and unfiltered. Only 25 cases were made. Tight and nimble, this is stencilled long with apricot pith, and streams with wild orange, fragrant apricot, wild mint, grapefruit peel, and a gentle wash of bergamot tea. This is dry, though has an impression of citrus sweetness, which is quite charming. Well balanced and thoughtful orange wine; well done.Tasted: 07 May 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
