Central Coast, California, United StatesKudos to Director of Winemaking Ryan Zotovich for pursuing a serious rosé and admitting it is hard to make. Summer Water is a blend of meticulously managed small lot batches using sustainably farmed Central Coast fruit. The blend is an 85/15 mix of grenache and syrah, fermented in stainless steel and finished low in sugar, sulphur, and alcohol. Everything about this wine is just about right. It is fresh, aromatic, and mixes citrus, grapefruit, with a pinch of peach and orange in the finish. It is a far cry from the history of American rosé, and we all happy about that.
