Roche Tradition Pinot Noir 2017

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is one of two pinot noirs that Naramata Bench's family owned Roche Wines produces, and is the more serious of the two. This small lot pinot comes from the west facing slopes of the Kozier vineyard, fermented in stainless and with three weeks on skins before 14 months in 2nd, 3rd, and neutral barrels. Dark fruited and structural, with black raspberry, cherries, brooding plum flowing along the savoury, medium+ palate, structured by finely firm, cedar-grained tannins leading this to a spiced finish. Very elegant and refined, drinking beautifully now, but still with time ahead.Tasted: 28 April 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
