Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2018 Portfolio is led by merlot, followed by cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, malbec, and petit verdot. This was fermented whole berry in a mix of stainless and oak, before 21 months' rest in French oak (42% new). True to style, this is a full and expressive red, but not lavish and overdone. Ripe with black cherry, blackberry, violets, fine grained cedar spice and black peppercorns, this caresses an expansive palate, wrapped in long, well integrated tannins, and finishing with a puff of camp smoke.
