La Fiorita Ninfalia Rosato 2019

Tuscany, ItalyThis sangiovese rosato comes from Montalcino's Castelnuovo dell’Abate, and is grown over calcareous clay soils, resulting in a rosé for grown ups. Early picked for its freshness, it is native fermented in concrete eggs for texture which it has in spades. From strawberries to cherries, it is refreshingly dry and focused from the front end to the rear, sporting orange and spice highlights. Impressive and well worth trying, even at $40. The 9 hectare organic estate was started in 1992 by well-known Italian wine consultant Roberto Cipresso. It is now owned by American Natalie Oliveros, who came on board in 2011. Seriously good.Tasted: 01 May 2021Tasted by: Prices: BC 39.99 select private retailers Producer: La FioritaDistributors: Revelry Import Company
