La Fiorita Ninfalia Rosato 2019

Tuscany, ItalyThis organic, 9-hectare estate was started in 1992 by well-known Italian wine consultant Roberto Cipresso. It is now owned by American Natalie Oliveros, who came on board in 2011. This sangiovese rosato comes from Montalcino's Castelnuovo dell’Abate, and its calcerous clay soils. After an early pick, this was native fermented in concrete eggs, resting for 7 months before release. Silken and elegant, with wild summer strawberries, Rainier cherries gliding along a very saline, slender palate, finishing with an alluring mandarin twist and a dusting of spice. One of the most convincing sangiovese rosatos I've tried and one worth seeking out in this premium price range.Tasted: 30 April 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices: BC 39.99 select private retailers Producer: La FioritaDistributors: Revelry Import Company
