Champagne Pierre Paillard Les Parcelles Bouzy Grand Cru Extra Brut XV NV

Champagne, FranceLes Parcelles is sourced entirely from the Paillard's home village of Bouzy, and from 22 plots of the family's sustainably-farmed vines, now averaging 25+ years. As noted by the XV on the label, this is based on the 2015 vintage (70%), and is a mix of 70/30 pinot noir / chardonnay (the latter an anomaly in PN-centric Bouzy), disgorged in June 2020 after 4 years on lees, and with less than 2 g/l dosage. White cherry, subtle wild strawberry, red apple lead the generous medium+, palate, based by meringue and fresh dough. Acidity is bright, carrying this through a lightly spiced finish. Welcoming, friendly, and primed for drinking now.Tasted: 19 April 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices: BC 67.99 BCLS Producer: Champagne Pierre PaillardDistributors: The Wine Syndicate
