Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis started out as a house wine for the Bartier family and it's easy to taste why. It's a fresh, lighter-bodied vin du soif that can just as easily be enjoyed on its own or at the dinner table during the week. Tasted blind, it would likely be difficult to identify this blend of pinot noir, gamay, cabernet franc, and merlot, but there's no questioning the result. Drink now with a chill to highlight the juicy plum and cherry.Tasted: 26 March 2021Tasted by: Prices:
Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOrchard Row began life as the Bartier family house wine, but after being pressured by friends who no doubt drank copious amounts, the family was convinced to release this wine to the public. The 2019 is a blend of 47/24/24/5/ mix of cabernet franc, gamay noir, pinot noir, and syrah. After ferment in stainless, this spent 14 months in 225L French barrels. Sweet, ripe blackberry, cherry, raspberry, flood the juicy, cushy palate, perfumed with violets and seasoned with black pepper. Tannins are sticky, housing this medium+ red to the peppery finish. Friendly and welcoming, crack this southern Okanagan red now, as intended.Tasted: 10 April 2021Tasted by: Prices:
