Livermore, San Francisco Bay, California, United StatesWente’s Livermore Chardonnay is never flashy but sufficiently fresh and modern, thanks to the morning fog that drifts across the East Bay, keeping the vineyards cool into the late morning, and returning late in the afternoon. It opens with light, spicy floral notes, green apples, and pear, with a dusting of honey that carries through to a toasted oak and vanilla finish.
