In this case, the Pentâge Tempranillo offers up a rush of red fruit and plummy flavours with brown spice and soft tannins. The oak is spicy, and noticeable but not completely over the top, thanks to a fresh underside of acidity that keeps the wine on track from front to back. In all, it spends 18 months in oak to give it that Rioja flair.
