Otronia III and VI Chardonnay 2017
Patagonia, ArgentinaOtriona is big on numbers. 2017 is a selection of blocks 3 and 6 sourced from vineyard 22. The fruit is organic, projecting big aromatics, including a savoury tangerine rind note. The winemaking is simple: direct press, static settling, fermented cool, with no malolactic before ageing in French oak foudres for 16 months. The wine is lively and savoury with more exotic cool tangerine and citrus pushing through a floral, mineral, almond undercoating on the palate.
