Hester Creek Pinot Gris Viognier 2020
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA blend of 67 percent pinot gris and 33 percent viognier, this is a marked improvement over recent vintages, no doubt bolstered by what seems to be, at this early stage, an excellent 2020 vintage. Early picking in mid-September has given this a crisp freshness and moderate 12.7%, which is perfectly suited for the style. It's fruity and unoaked, with a long 35-day fermentation at a cool 13 degrees bringing out melon, pear, as well as viognier's perfumed aromatics.
