Champagne, FranceChampagne Huré Fréres started just over 50 years ago and still very much a family business. Today Raoul Huré and his two sons, Francois and Pierre run the winery, based in Ludes in the Montagne de Reims. This blend of 40 PN / 40 PM / 20 Ch comes from Ludes and Villedommange in Montagne de Reims, and Vavray Grand, in Vitriat, with approximately 30% reserve wines from a solera. It was aged 3 years on lees, and disgorged with 6 g/L. Crisp green apple, fresh red apple, and bright lemon flood this juicy champagne, seasoned with lightly toasted biscuit around a lees-lined core, and finishing with a citrus snap. Drinking very smartly at present, especially at the dinner table.Tasted: 18 June 2024Tasted by: Prices:
Champagne, FranceA close-knit family, two brothers sharing a common vision and then passing on their values to the next generation, all this and more makes up the story of Champagne Huré-Fréres: started just over 50 years ago and still very much a family business. Today Raoul Huré and his two sons, Francois and Pierre invite you to discover their maison at Ludes in the Montagne de Reims. This cuvée is forward and direct with ample green and red apple, lemon, white cherry, and a cushion of lees across the medium+ body, ringed with a chalky grip. Quite vinous, this is a great food pairing wine, especially with proteins or richer dishes.Tasted: 30 March 2021Tasted by: Prices:
