Bottega Gold Rose Prosecco Spumante Brut NV

Treviso, Verona, Veneto, ItalyRosé Gold is a newer addition to their ever-expanding lineup, with the appellation changes allowing for Prosecco Rosé. This is entirely pinot nero, from the marl/limestone/clay soils of southern Lombardy (what Sandro Bottega considers a superior place for the grape). After 24 hours on skins for a cold maceration, this was fermented in stainless before heading to the Charmat tanks for secondary ferment and a brut dosage of 10-12 g/L. Like the classic Gold, this is packaged in a trademarked mirrored bottle and is the bigger, more serious sibling to the Poeti bottling. Perfumed raspberries, wild strawberries float along a pretty, frizzante palate, finely graded with pinot nero's structure, and finishing on a clean, brisk note. The sugar is held in check by easy, bright acidity. Enjoy now, for elevated prosecco occasions (Mother's Day?)Tasted: 03 May 2021Tasted by: Prices:
