The nose is lightly toasted, the attack greenish with soft black fruits and short, tugging tannins. A step back from the Antonini vision, this finishes dry and disjointed. Mendoza, ArgentinaFrom Agrelo, in Mendoza’s Lujàn de Cuyo, this organic cabernet franc was fermented in steel, with 30% going off to French barrel (550L and 3500L) for aging. Toasty on the nose, with downy soft blackberry and black cherry striated with hard pressed and powdery green franc tannins. The finish is short, and sour, with the hard, green tannins.
