La Rioja, ArgentinaAltaland is a new regional series by Catena, highlighting various winegrowing regions of Argentina. Syrah is the historical grape of La Rioja, a large province north of Mendoza, centred on the high altitude Famatina Valley. Ripe and fleshy, sweetened by the Argentine sun and amplified UV, this is dense with blackberry, black raspberry, violet, vanilla, and peppery spicing, with a savoury, smoked meat undercurrent.
