It is richer, and you feel a rub of tannin, but the oak is in order, and the intensity is appropriately ratcheted up over the regular version. The style is dry and spicy, continuing down the less-is-more pinot road. Light black cherries mix with raspberries and a dash of oak, setting the pint noir free. Food-friendly and ready to drink.
