Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaThough Mac has been working with Italian varieties in the Yarra for a while, this is his first dolcetto, aptly placed in his EB (Experimental Batch) series. Juicy purple and blue fruits flood this medium+ red, kept buoyant by bright acidity. Thorns, darting violets, fine peppercorns season the compact palate, held tight by a firm, fine brace of tannins. The finish lingers with perfumed medicinal toned cassis.
