Lunessence Pinot Noir 2019
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is a retaste six months down the road. Lunessence has embarked on a pinot noir planting program on the estate property in Summerland, but the fruit for this wine has come from the Palo Solera Vineyard in East Kelowna, or East Kelowna Slopes as it has recently been given a coveted sub-GI. Not a lot of change. The alcohol level is moderate (for pinot noir) at 13.5 percent, but the rest is heavy handed, presenting with more weight and less fruit. Expect a New World style with more earthy than fruity black cherry. The textures are soft, and it is ready to drink. Think pulled pork or an Asian pork belly dish.Tasted: 25 May 2022Tasted by: Prices:BC | $27.99 | 750ml | winery online/direct, select private retailers |
