Gérard Bertrand Côte Des Roses Rosé 2019
Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceIn a short period, the Bertrand Côte des Roses has taken on its cousins in Provence and quickly established itself as a player in the French rosé game. The wine is a celebration of the Mediterranean lifestyle, told through a stylish but playful mix of grenache, cinsault, and syrah grown over mostly hard limestone and schist with a lesser contribution of gravels from the rivers of the Languedoc region. The scent of watermelons and strawberries mix with a citrus/garrigue undercurrent, but more than anything, it tastes like fun. A dry, firm, and elegant pink made for summer, not to mention halibut tacos, spicy tuna poke, or lobster risotto.Tasted: 27 January 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $24.95 | 750ml | private wine shops |
