Domaine Montrose Chardonnay 2020

Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceDomaine Montrose was founded by the Coste family in 1701 in Pézenas, in Languedoc, and today Bernard and Olivier Coste oversee the estate. This chardonnay is rooted in IGP Côtes de Thongue's white chalky clay and dark volcanic pebbles. Each plot was fermented and vinified separately, and then blended. After a short skin contact, this was fermented and aged in stainless to preserve the fresh fruit. Bright and crisp, with lemon curd, lemon blossoms, white peach, and hints of lemon verbena, with a gentle slick of lees on the 13% palate. Drinking smartly now, crack and enjoy this fresh white with shellfish or salads.Tasted: 07 January 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
