Taboadella 1255 Grande Villae Red 2018
Dão, Northern Portugal, PortugalTaboadella is an exciting new Dão project from the Amorim family (of cork domination). The family is no stranger to winemaking, however, owing Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo in the Douro, as well as the large Aldea de Cima estate in the Alentejo, where they have been planting vines over the past few years. This is the icon wine of the estate, blending alfrocheiro, touriga nacional, and tinta roriz. This aged one year in new 500L French oak. Perfumed violets, wild blueberry, blackberry, cassis flood the structural, dense palate, held bright with the altitude and granitic soils.
