Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis rarely-seen Canadian tempranillo comes from Osoyoos East Bench, the hottest growing region in the country. Planted on sandy loams, this was destemmed and fermented warm in large stainless vats with thrice daily pumpovers, prior to resting in 225L French barriques (15% new), and American oak. Dense and super ripe, with compact kirsch, blackcurrant, medicinal cherry, and vanilla. Tannins are gritty and ragged, housing this to a shorter finish.
