Mâcon-Villages, Mâconnais, Burgundy, FranceThe Loron family has been making wine in Beaujolais since 1711, and the 8th generation is overseeing the current production. Jean-Pierre Rodet made wine under Jules Chauvet, widely recognized as a father of the natural wine movements. From the Mâconnais, this chardonnay was fermented and briefly rested in stainless, with no added sulphur throughout the process. I like the taut structure, bright citrus drenched pear mixed with green apples. There is a hint of lees on the nose and palate. Fresh, bright, and crisp, this is a beautiful wine for the dinner table. I love it with dim sum.Tasted: 28 July 2022Tasted by: Prices:

Mâcon-Villages, Mâconnais, Burgundy, FranceThe roots of this family owned winery go back to 1711, and the 8th generation of family members currently oversee the negotiant operations. Jean Loron's chief winemaker, Jean-Pierre Rodet, first made wine under the guidance of Jules Chauvet, the famous scientist and oenologist widely recognised as a father of the natural wine movements. From the Mâconnais, this chardonnay was fermented and briefly rested in stainless, with no sulphur throughout. Tight and bright with lemon, pear, apple, this is a clean and fresh version of the grape in the Mâcon, bedded with a slight cushion of lees, and finishing bright and zippy. Naked chardy, as it were, and smartly so.Tasted: 02 December 2020Tasted by: Prices:
