Emilia-Romagna, ItalyThis sweet, fruity, and fizzy red has been a North American staple import since the mid-70s. Unfortunately, that put serious Lambrusco behind, since everyone associated the style with, well, this. Candied blueberry and cherry, with an undercurrent of cassis soda, this is a short, fizzy, dark hued red, with ample sweetness on the mid until a severe bitter Italian finish.
