Hillside Heritage Series Cabernet Franc 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Hillside Cabernet Franc tracks down the floral, cranberry, spicy, tea leaf path. It doesn't knock you out with black fruit, alcohol, or big flavours, but rather it attracts with its subtly. In 2017 the dry, mid-weight red was all about red cherries, resin, and light spicy tannins in the back end. As I have said before, it is a wine for drinkers who are thinkers. Serve it now with grilled meats or wild mushroom dishes to round out the edges, or age through 2023. It is all Naramata, and that’s a good thing.Tasted: 30 September 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
