Burrowing Owl Malbec 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPredominantly from Osoyoos' estate Eva vineyard, and the remainder from the home vineyard in Oliver, this was aged in a mix of French, American, and Hungarian oak, with 32% new wood, where it remained for 18 months. Quite structural, with a very peppery, green note that colours the savoury cherry, wild blueberry, darkly perfumed raspberry that permeates the palate. Quite fine and elegant, with long, finely grippy tannins to the finish. Well done.Tasted: 26 August 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
