Rosehill Run JCR Rosehall Vineyard Chardonnay 2018
Prince Edward County, Ontario, CanadaThis is the 15th vintage of Rosehill Vineyard Chardonnay, monikered JCR for co-founder John Campbell Reston. Planted in 2001 and 2002, this is a selection from North Block and Dijon clones 76, 95, and 96. This was fermented in 500L used French puncheons (that had previously housed JCR Chardonnay) and aged on lees for 17 months. Tight and energetic energy propels forward pithy lemon, fresh hazelnut, crunchy pear, green apple along a slender palate, streaking along to a smoked mineral, saline finish.
