Road 13 Sparkling Traditional Method Chenin Blanc 2016
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA chenin sparkler made from the oldest chenin blanc vines in North America is a good start. Two chenin sparklers are made at Road 13, and this is the everyday fun sipper. The wines mature quickly; the care is taken in getting the acidity levels to remain lively. The primary fermentation is done in tank before a secondary fermentation in the bottle. The wine was kept at the winery another three years before a final disgorging and labelling. Look for a friendly, fruity affair full of ripe red apple mixed with citrus, peaches, and toasted nutty notes to round out the finish. Ready to drink and a perfect wine for south Asian dishes.Tasted: 24 July 2020Tasted by: Prices:
