Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Fitzpatrick sparkling wine program continues to ascend the BC charts under winemaker Sarah Bain, ex-Central Otago (Burn Cottage and Quartz Reef). Bain’s Reserve labels spend a minimum of 36 months on lees, and you sense the effort the instant you stick your nose in the glass. The fruit is pure and refreshing, led by bright red apples and ripe watermelon that spill across this pale orange rosé. The combination of electric acidity and complex lees places it among the best sparkling rosés made in BC. Drink now or hold through 2025 with no issues. Salmon, turkey, or Dungeness crab all work here.Tasted: 26 June 2020Tasted by: Prices:

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Reserve tier of Fitz' sparkling wines rests 36 months on lees, the lengthiest stint of any of their sparkling wines. Using their Great Ranch pinot noir, this was fermented and aged in stainless, and dosed with 6 g/L. Orchard fresh and bright, as is Fitz' way, this juicy, softer palate is flush with red apple, cherry, strawberry and a wash of lemon pith. Acidity is shining, and the finish is snappy and lingering, welcoming numerous pairings from flavourful canapés through vegetable terrine through to salmon.Tasted: 01 July 2020Tasted by: Prices:
