Chinon, Touraine, Loire, FranceOnly 2% of Chinon is planted to white, so when you find a Chinon Blanc, you know you're in for a special chenin blanc experience. This organically farmed chenin comes mostly from Ligre's chalky, limestone clay soils. This was native cool fermented in stainless, to preserve the bright, fresh, very special character of chenin on limestone. Wildflower honey, pear skin, lemon, eraser, subtle quince streams along the lees-lined palate, finishing with a shimmering hum of energy. A beaut now, but will certainly continue to hold in your cellar over the next few years.
