Narrative Riesling 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe narrative in 2018 is extreme, as in tartness. Expect a pure, untouched version of Okanagan riesling that reflects its origins in a northern desert with dry, short, and intensely warm and cool growing conditions. It is fermented in stainless steel and aged for a few months in concrete eggs. The attack is tart, with crisp, stony lemon pith flavours that finish dry and super fresh. It needs some fresh goat cheese or a warm cheese and ham panini. I do admire its 10.5 percent alcohol level. A geek wine for sure.
