Mission Hill Terroir Collection Pinot Noir Dehart Vineyard 2018

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis single vineyard sits on a steep slope along DeHart road in East Kelowna, and is unique for its cool climate and early ripening characteristics. The key is complete afternoon sun exposure, which balances off its high, northern elevation site. It is all clone 777 that gives you intensity and vibrance along with a good measure of finesse. It's wild fermented and aged ten months in French oak prior to bottling without fining or filtration. In this super cool year, it clocked in at a modest 13.5 percent. Expect bright black cherry fruit, spice, and cedar on the attack and throughout the palate. The finish is showing a bit of dryness, but the tannins will dissipate over time in the bottle. Best now with mushrooms, chicken, pork, and salmon led menu items.Tasted: 09 April 2020Tasted by: Prices:
