Framingham Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandFramingham has always eschewed the power and aggressive notes of most Marlborough sauvignon, to its credit. The styling reflects a few key winemaking techniques including picking fully ripe Wairau Valley fruit, a small amount of fermentation on the skins, and small amounts of ageing in oak and acacia barrels for an even smaller amount of time. Each contributes to a layer of complexing that shouts 'I'm more than just passionfruit and acidity'. I love the richer, softer version of Kiwi sauvignon that tastes more balanced on the palate. Ready to drink and fairly priced.Tasted: 18 May 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:ON | $21.95 | 750ml | LCBO |
