Culmina Family Estate Unicus Gruner Veltliner 2019
Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaUnicus is one of the best wines made at Culmina, expressing its site and the valley’s temperament to a tee. At just under 600 metres, Margaret’s Bench plays home to this soft, opulent interpretation of gruner veltliner. Look for a delicious lees character, pears, and desert scrub, all finished with textures via concrete eggs, concrete amphora, stainless, and neutral French oak fermentation vessels. Perfectly balanced and ready to drink.Tasted: 09 May 2020Tasted by: Prices:

Culmina Family Estate Unicus Gruner Veltliner 2019
Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine gets more and more dialled in year over year. From their higher altitude estate Margaret's Bench vineyard, this GV, one of the only in the province, was fermented in a mix of concrete egg, concrete amphora, stainless, and neutral French oak. Layers of pear, quince, lemon are interwoven with herbal, downy lees, and shaped with citrus binding. Mineral salts and white pepper add the seasoning, while the concrete added ample texture to the palate. Fantastic balance, and interest.Tasted: 13 May 2020Tasted by: Prices:
