Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaHow much do I like this style of chardonnay? And at $20, what a bargain. R&D stands equally for research & development and is used to label the more experimental, small-lot line of wines pursued at Culmina Family estate. The label photos refer to the founder Don and his twin Ron Triggs who themselves grew up researching life. The nose is an exquisite take on tangerines and pears. The palate is equally enticing with its pear, mineral, crunchy fruit and crisp acidity. Delicious, versatile, and ready to drink.Tasted: 23 June 2020Tasted by: Prices:

Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaR&D stands equally for research & development (the more experimental, small-lot line of wines from Oliver's Culmina), as well as founder Don and his twin Ron, Triggs brothers whose adorable childhood photo graces the label. Bright tangerine, perfumed pear, crunchy grapefruit acidity lifts this medium+ white, bedded with stony lees, and finishing with a bright snap. There's a telling sun-ripeness and 14 degree alcohol reflecting its Southern Okanagan provenance, but a wonderful freshness throughout that speaks to the altitude of the site. A worthy experiment.Tasted: 09 May 2020Tasted by: Prices:
