Sperling Vineyards Pinot Noir 2017
East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the Sperling family estate, this organic / biodynamic pinot noir was planted in 2008 on calcium/clay benches, and to three different Dijon clones (114, 777, 828). 40% whole cluster, this was native fermented in tank before heading to French barrels (up to 500L), with a small portion new. Supple and soft with forest berries, fine earth, autumnal mushrooms, and cracked nutmeg. Tannins are slight, and acidity is bright, gently lifting this to an easy, mellow finish. Drink now, as this is already feeling a bit sluggish.Tasted: 08 April 2020Tasted by: Prices:BC | $35.00 | 750ml | winery direct, private wine shops |
