It is aged 18 months in French oak and then gets another year in the bottle. The nose is earthy with hints of garlic and barnyard that are more positive than negative. The palate is a complex mix of dark berries, smoke, orange peel, subtle celery salt, and toasted vanilla. Rich and weighty, it has the mouth presence and silky notes pinot noir drinkers crave.
