Moraine Pink Mountain Rosé 2019

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPink Mountain rosé comes from on Moraine's Anastasia Vineyard on Naramata Vench. The blend is 75/25 gamay noir/malbec. The style is soft and off-dry at 9 g/L residual sugar. Ther is a touch of acidity to keep it in line, but I suggest this ripe pink would be best suited for spicy dishes to temper the sweetness in the wine. Of, course some will love it for what it is: a quaffable pink you can serve cold on a hot sunny day. The gamay was all hand-harvested and pressed off the skins. The malbec was saignéed as the berries were being destemmed. A seven-week fermentation was halted by chilling, and the wine was stabilized and crossflow filtered before bottling in early February 2020.Tasted: 29 April 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
